1.  Rights of and Advantages for Beauty Centres Accredited By CIDESCO

1.1   By accrediting Beauty Centres CIDESCO aims at providing a uniform high standard in the world of Aesthetics and strives for a feeling of belonging together on a national and international level.

1.2   The CIDESCO Beauty Centre will professionally benefit from CIDESCO's goodwill and its international reputation which is a hallmark of professionalism .

1.3   CIDESCO Beauty Centres are identified by their trili n g ual plate and stickers with the CIDESCO logo

1.4   In their publicity and advertising material the Beauty Centres are entitled to mention that they are accredited by CIDESCO — the international link to Beauty Therapy.

1.5   The CIDESCO accredited Beauty Centres will receive all relevant information distributed by CIDESCO.Through CIDESCO membership they, have the opportunity, to motivate an, increase in awareness of CIDESCO to the public.

1.6   The list o f BEAUTY CENTRES ACCREDITED BY CIDESCO is issued every year in the official programme of the CIDESCO World Congress.
CIDESCO has its own website - this will give the Beauty Centre further benefits on an International level bringing awareness to the general public for the high standard and quality of services. Beauty Centres can be automatically linked to the CIDESCO website.
CIDESCO accreditation gives an opportunity to link with CIDESCO Accredited Beauty Centres worldwide: allowing a network of information and referrals.
Should there be any default in payment or any contravention to the Rules as set down, CIDESCO will be entitled to withdraw the information immediately.

2.  CIDESCO Standards

2.1   Premises

The reception area, client facilities and treatment rooms must be a separate entity and local Bye-laws will apply. The premises must represent and reflect a high professional standard at all Insurance certificate must be currant and excess able and annual equipment service record available for inspection.
All therapists must have relevant qualifications.
CIDESCO diploma must be on display.
Toilet facilities

Treatment Area

All precautions must be taken to ensure the highest hygiene standards Good lighting and ventilation Hot and cold running water must b ~ within easy reach of treatment area.
Premises must be Non-smoking Notice to turn mobile phones off, Product display area Information on good quality product
Professional standard to be maintained in regards to the salons recording system In the treatment Areas utmost hygiene must be observed
Local Bye-Laws must be adhered to. Change of owner or Premises will require a re-inspection of the Beauty Centre

2.2   Treatments

A separate Grading System gives the Beauty Centre the possibility to have different types of treatments but still provide services that are up to standards according to CIDESCO Rules and regulations.
The following treatments constitute a minimum service for the different grading:

Grade 1   Skin analysis | Complete manual skin care/ facials | Specialised manual deep skin cleansing

Grade 2   Skin analysis | Complete manual skin care/ facials | Specialised manual deep skin cleansing | Hair removal (hot or and cold wax)
Make-up (day-time) evening, photo, corrective) | Manicure | Pedicure | Advice for home care

Grade 3   Skin analysis | Complete manual and electrical skin care/ facials | Specialised manual and electrical deep skin cleansing
Hair removal (hot or cold wax, electrical epliation, IPL/Laser- optional) | Make-up (day-time evening, photo, corrective) | Manicure | Pedicure | Advice for home care

2.3   Electric Equipment / Products

The following up-to-date apparatus/ products constitute the minimum equipment of the Beauty centre according to grading. They must be in good working order and must be serviced annually – proof of service must be available

Grade 1   Sanitation facilities | Steriliser – National Organisation specifications must be observed | Vaporiser, with or without ozone | Magnifying lamp

Grade 2   Sanitation facilities | Steriliser – National Organisation specifications must be observed. | Vaporiser, with or without ozone | Hair removal (hot or and cold wax) | Short wave and galvanic equipment for epilation | Magnifying lamp

Grade 3   Sanitation facilities | Steriliser – National Organisation specifications must be observed | Vaporiser, with or without ozone | High frequency | Facial galvanic | Facial stimulating/ relaxing current Short wave and galvanic equipment for epilation | Magnifying lamp

3.  Requirement

To be fulfilled when applying for recognition by CIDESCO

3.1   The owner manager or beauty therapist must hold the International CIDESCO Diploma.

3.2   The Beauty Centre, the owner/ manager and the Beauty Therapists to be members of the national CIDESCO Section.

3.3   The equipment, sanitary conditions and treatments must comply with the CIDESCO standard, in accordance to local regulations.

3.4   ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT/ PRODUCTS

3.5   Observe the Trademark Rules when advertising. The salon can only use is CIDESCO accreditation in the operation of the Beauty Centre.

3.6   CIDESCO accredited Beauty Centres need to encourage that their staff participates in a least one national/ international congress/seminar per year. Evidence of attending these for continue/ professional development to maintain the highest professional standards to be recorded.

3.7   The Beauty Centre shall welcome a representative from the national CIDESCO Section for an inspection every 3 years to maintain standards and requirements. CIDESCO reserves the right to inspect the Accredited Clinic’s premises by reasonable appointment at any time.

4.  Application for Recognition

4.1   Two identical files shall be prepared
One has to be addressed to the CIDESCO Secretariat in Zurich, and the other to the national CIDESCO Section (where applicable) where the Beauty Centre is located.

Each file shall include:

  • application form; completed and signed
  • plan of the premises, sanitary installations
  • list of electrical equipment with copy of service certificate
  • copy of the Beauty Centre’s advertising material.

The national CIDESCO Section or representative of CIDESCO will be requested to check the premises and installation at the expense of the applicant and send a report to the CIDESCO Secretariat.

4.2   The CIDESCO Board Member responsible for accreditation of salons will inform the applicant of the result.

4.3   In the affirmative case, the Beauty Centre is entitled to sue the prefix “Beauty Centre accredited by CIDESCO”

4.4   Should the applicant not be successful the Beauty Centre will be informed of the short comings and shall be granted a period of 6 months before a reapplication can be made.

4.5   How to use the CIDESCO Trademark

4.6   CIDESCO membership fee SFr. 98 – payable annually on invoice.

5.  Financial Obligations of the Beauty Centre

5.1   To cover the administrative expenses relating to the processing of the application, a handling and entrance fee of SFr. 200. – should be forwarded to CIDESCO.

5.2   The annual fee amounts to SFr. 98. – which includes a trilingual publicity window sticker (gilded letters on blue background), with the following wording, will be supplied.

This sticker is renewed annually and bears the date of the year for which the annuity has been paid

5.3   The new member of the world-wide chain is invited to pay a cost of SFr.200- and receive the metal plaque reserved for the exclusive use by CIDESCO Accredited Beauty Centres. The metal plaque remains the property of CIDESCO international and is to be returned when accreditation ceases.

5.4   Each CIDESCO beauty Centre will receive one round shaped CIDESCO Window Stickers (with the CIDESCO logo only).

6.  Cancellation

  CIDESCO accreditation shall be cancelled for the following reasons:

6.1   Death of the owner or of the person in charge of the Beauty Centre

6.2   Winding-up, liquidation or sale of the Beauty Centre

6.3   Non-fulfillment of one of the conditions mentioned in art.3.

Non-fulfillment of the financial obligations to CIDESCO as proved for in art.5.

Non-fulfillment of the rules and standards of CIDESCO after inspection mentioned in art. 3:7.

6.4   Non-fulfillment of the financial obligations to CIDESCO as proved for in art.5.

6.5   Non-fulfillment of the rules and standards of CIDESCO after inspection mentioned in art. 3:7.

6.6   Non payment of fees by the due date.
The resignation can be filed only by the end of the year and the Beauty Centre need to give 6 month Notice in writing. The full annual fee needs to be paid in advance for the forthcoming year.
The Beauty Centre is not entitled to any compensation.
The Beauty Centre is responsible for returning the plaque either directly to the Secretariat in Zurich.
The decision regarding the cancellation of the accreditation shall rest with the Board of Directors of CIDESCO.
