ABTC is the registered Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology, India, born in 1986 with the aim to promote scientific knowledge of beauty therapy, and much more to protect overall wellbeing of the industry. It is the only association affiliated to international organizations as CIDESCO and CIBTAC.

ABTC has its own syllabus and conducts examinations at regular intervals in Mumbai, Pune and many other cities.

ABTC certificate is an additional qualification stating that therapist has studied the prescribed syllabus successfully, has acquired standard theory/practical knowledge. And able to perform treatments professionally.

ABTC life membership entitles you for - Free entry to all ABTC educative programmes. Entitles you to be a committee member/or voting member. Offers you a platform to show your talent. Share your knowledge / interact with other professionals from the industry. If interested, can start ABTC teaching center, CIDESCO diploma holders can prepare their students for CIDESCO and make them appear for the exam. Through Section. CIDESCO is major international beauty therapy association, founded in 1946, with the aim to promote esthetics on an international basis. With head office in Zurich, Switzerland, it is represented in over 33 countries and there are about 200 CIDESCO schools around the world.

CIDESCO diploma is a prestigious and highly respected international qualification in the field of beauty. There are also PG diplomas in Aromatherapy, SPA, Makeup, etc. Beauty Therapy CIDESCO examination is conducted by ABTC called section India Post Graduate Exam.

No. ABTC does not conduct any training programmed for Cidesco or ABTC exams, however, addresses of CIDESCO accredited schools have been provided in this link. (go to Activities -- Accreditation -- CIDESCO accreditation) and many CIDESCO qualified members in Mumbai, Pune & all over Maharashtra takes students for training & they appear ABTC, CIDESCO PG exam.

CIDESCO schools are approved by CIDESCO International, providing a training period of at least 1200 hrs .covering entire syllabus prescribed by CIDESCO and follow a training programmed.

You can get CIDESCO diploma by either of following way
1) You can enroll yourself in a CIDESCO International accredited school and undergo a complete training programme or
2) Estheticians who have not been trained at an International CIDESCO School but have at least 3 years experience can also gain CIDESCO diploma by taking CIDESCO examination arranged by school ( if acceptable to school) or through Section. as PG. Both, regular and PG, students undergo practical and theoretical examinations which are invigilated by an international examiner appointed by Cidesco.
